The IMNF at 80th Street Residence

The Institute for Music and Neurologic Function (IMNF) brings its music therapy expertise in memory enhancement to the 80th Street Residence in Manhattan, NY. The IMNF offers a weekly drum circle to allow individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia at the 80th Street Residence to do the following:

Improve emotional expression

Improve physical exercise, gross and fine motor skills

Improve cognitive function, including attention and short term memory

Improve mood

Residents can also take advantage of private music therapy sessions and have access to the IMNF’s Well–Tuned: Music Players for Health Program.

About the 80th Street Residence

The 80th Street Residence is an assisted living facility dedicated to the care of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Located on the upper East side of Manhattan, the 80th Street Residence offers structured programs for patients with varying degrees of memory impairment.
